Here are some impressions of my work

The search for an ideal transcendental essence and the love of contemplation brings man closer to the sublime spiritual riches. Thus, drinking from the source of God's grace, the soul of the believer becomes a spiritual beacon. On the way to divine perfection – faith, love and hope serve as a military stronghold and spiritual food. The work of the artist Angelka Basheska becomes a life-giving inspiration and a reminder of the power of faith and love, of the miraculousness of the human soul and its angelic ability to serve, help and manage.

The artistic and aesthetic language of the artist abounds with symbols inspired by Christianity and Macedonian medieval art. Through the complex authentic language Basheska reconstructs the Christian messages about: the love of man, the love of God, the truth about light and darkness, as well as the truth about eternity. Purity, beauty and love represent postulates of the overall divine creativity. The interpretation of the symbols depends on the narrative depicted in the composition, such as: the spiral DNA strands are the carriers of the code for the construction and functioning of the living organism, the angels symbolize the necessary support and security on the way to salvation, and the outstretched hand symbolizes the transcendental passage of the spirit. According to Gregory of Nyssa: "The contemplation of divine beauty, which is the highest end of our desires, is possible only through the creation of man in the image of God, whereby like can recognize like."

A colorful painting depicting a human figure with an abstract, anatomical style. The figure's head is surrounded by a luminous halo with a serene face, and large, multicolored wings extend from the shoulders. The figure's torso features vibrant, swirling patterns and biohazard symbols, with elements suggesting DNA or genetic material, and a background of digital code and abstract shapes.

The zealous angelic figure in the composition titled "The Angel" dominates the entire surface of the composition. The artistic elements are arranged vertically and upright. The symmetrical balance of the composition calms the observer. The angel radiates a sense of grandeur, offering protection and security. Through the lowermost energy sphere, his womb looms. Meanwhile, thrones circle around the second energy sphere. They represent an angelic company belonging to the highest Triad and are called "God-bearing", because God rests on them with his blessing. The heavenly fiery body of the Angel continues with wide open wings, the feathers of which are meticulously and carefully worked. On the black background, various symbols, signs and numbers are written in a row that symbolize the earthly world of illusions.

Abstract colorful painting with various shapes, lines, and patterns in red, blue, purple, gold, black, green, and white, featuring some symbols and textures.

Rippling on the purple and violet imaginary waves, the freely distributed amorphous forms in the composition "Whole is when you have everything", exchange the life-giving code with each other. The tireless primordial urge of the Macedonian letters to tell the past, nested in the core of the blood cells that make up the bloodstream, make the composition alive and exciting. Vertically placed stone cubes contrast with the fluidity and transience of the remaining elements. Bašeska reminds that the letters in the alphabet represent living codes that have the power to speak loudly about the past, present and build the future of the Macedonian people.

Didactic - the epistemological character and the symbolic language that appear in the author's work, formed a unique cultural treasure. It is about an autonomous phenomenon that developed through the continuous development of artistic and spiritual aspirations. Subtle messages become a word and an aesthetic ideal, which teach about spiritual defense, love and mercy. The artist's introverted visual symbolism represents a new and innovative effort to reshape Christian teachings using the language of abstraction.

Over the previous years, I've actively taken part in numerous group exhibitions held in Prilep, Macedonia. These exhibitions were organized by the Society of Fine Artists https://www.markocepenkov.org/ , of which I was a member. Please take a moment to browse through a selection of the photos I've gathered from these events.

The text that opened my first solo exhibition, entitled "Where the Blue Begins"

The living should refrain from interfering with the work of the deceased, yet paradoxically, the departed have the power to rouse the living from their metaphorical slumber. This may appear to be a clever wordplay, but it goes deeper than that. Many things bear resemblance to something they are not.

Almost invariably, perspectives shift when we observe things from different angles. However, there is one constant, unaffected by the vantage point, which I refer to as "ONE." The ONE transcends angles of perception, modes of explanation, gender, and time. It vanishes when the "one" aligns itself with the sole truth it is connected to—God.

It is unwise to place sole trust in your eyes; our vision often deceives. Examine everything only once, even these artistic creations, with the inner "sight" within you. If, in doing so, a puzzling riddle presents a question to which you lack an answer, you will discover an abyss within you, devouring all the certainties you thought you possessed—your loved ones, your acquaintances, your familiar streets, your friends, everything. When that abyss consumes you too, you will suddenly possess the answers to the universe. You will understand that darkness need not be feared, and coldness need not be chilling. You will grasp that the singular "One" exists, encompassing everything, and everything exists solely within Him.

I took part in an exhibition at the International Art Studio and Gallery on December 9th 2023. The exhibition's premiere attracted influential figures from the art sphere, including Mrs. @sultanakazim , a remarkable individual celebrated for her inner radiance. It's as if fate orchestrates moments for acknowledgment, skillfully aligning them, much like the timely roll of dice by a higher power.

On the 5th of January, the exhibition titled "Unleashed" was opened in the gallery of the Dubai International Art Center, organized by "Events and Us". I presented myself with two works, which were recognized by the honored guests of the exhibition, who are also top painters, as valuable works with a clear message, and I was praised for my painting technique to my great joy. The organization was excellent, so we spent an evening in communication, talking about art and a friendly atmosphere that I hope we will experience again. artdubai.com , diacjumeirah

Between January 13 and 26 (2024), the  Reem Art Gallery (@reemgallerydubai) hosted a thematic exhibition titled "Flower Landscapes Capturing the Beauty of Nature," catering to art enthusiasts. I personally showcased my piece, "Just a Perfect Day." I commend the organizers for providing artists with the chance to be interviewed by public relations, and the inclusive marketing approach that treated all participants with equal attention. This exhibition is sure to leave a lasting impression in my memory.

On February 16, 2024, the exhibition "Echos" organized by SAKKU (@sakku.art) opened its doors at Goshi Warehouse Village, featuring my participation with two artworks. The first piece, titled "Why the Color of Love is Red," garnered significant attention and became a focal point of engaging conversations with visitors. The second work, "Mystery," also contributed to the overall exhibition. I found great satisfaction in the lively interest expressed by the audience, particularly towards my first painting. These meaningful conversations deepened the connection between the creator and the observer.

Encountering spirited personalities and curious visitors who approached with a desire to learn provided a healing experience for the artist, counteracting any challenges faced in the organizational aspects. Such encounters served as inspiration, instilling a sense of faith to continue creating irrespective of external circumstances. In retrospect, the day offered valuable lessons that underscored the resilience and determination needed to persist in the creative journey. More about this exhibition on link www.artdayme.news

The "Her Story" exhibition opened on April 27th, 2024, at the Picasso Gallery, under the curatorship of Jesno Jackson. With esteemed guests present, including staunch supporters of the artists, Jackson inaugurated the event with immense enthusiasm and joy. This spirit resonated with both artists and visitors, highlighting the potent joy that arises when women unite for a noble cause, reaffirming their profound impact firsthand.

One of my artworks, a tapestry titled "Gift for the Groom," caught the attention of male visitors, sparking their fascination with the concept. They were particularly intrigued by the fusion of traditional Macedonian ethnic folk art with a modern aesthetic, showcased in this piece.

The "DRIVE ME CRAZY" exhibition was opened on 25th October 2024 at the ME DUBAI hotel. From the time I watched the documentary about the build, where Zaha Hadid spoke passionately about not only the design, but every piece built into the project, I wanted to see it. ME DUBAI, it was love at first sight, an incredible feeling of home. And having so much space for galleries bought me forever. The design makes you feel that you are really on a spaceship, magical and a little lost in the starry sky, which is magnificent even when there are no stars outside - simply the way the thousands of small light bulbs are placed above the glass roof makes the magic of the ship complete. And the exhibition should be seen, those who will see it should say about it. What is important is that I met many new people, souls recognized each other by chance and the way to a new meeting was opened, when we will talk with the beautiful in us about the beautiful around us.

On October 26/ 2024, I was awarded as an artist for mixed media and tapestry, organized by the Luminaru Awards and Jesno Jackson, the founder of Galeria4you. My brightest moment on stage was when I saw MACEDONIA on the statuette. Macedonians are sorghum, if sorghum wants to "take hold", it will grow. Glory to God for every moment when I hear your name MACEDONIA. ❤️

Today 6th of June 2025, from afar, arrived the printed edition of ART WHISPER GLOBAL — a publication whose team decided I should be part of their seventh issue, beautifully titled Collected Voices.

The words of editor Sangeeta Jaiswal echo deeply:

"Our team at Art Whisper Global had the great pleasure of selecting these artists – true masters with a unique approach and creative vision. Their stories and the talent they carry make their works genuine sources of inspiration and emotion, illuminating every page of this edition. This process reaffirmed our love for art and its power to touch everyone."

Her reflection fills me with hope — that someone, somewhere, truly recognizes the spiritual dimension of an artist’s creation and the message it seeks to share.

I give thanks to God that, from a distant and unfamiliar corner of the world, someone has so precisely heard the whisper of our beings — the quiet voice woven through the works of us few artists featured here.

Thank you @artwhisperglobal , for the work you do.

Upon the invitation of El Gramet from Argentina, I was honored to represent Macedonia in the grand project "Manifesto Universal", which brings together 200 artists from around the world. With great joy, I accepted the invitation and eagerly await the next phase of this beautifully envisioned project, which I believe will fulfill its noble mission: "The Reconstruction of a World in Harmony."
Follow me if this project awakens your interest as well. What follows is the creation of the monumental canvas, the documentary film... but let us wait for all of that.

On October 31st 2025, at the Me Dubai Hotel, in Studio 12, the exhibition DRIVE ME CRAZY vol 2 was opened, featuring respected artists from the Dubai art scene. I exhibited my 3 latest works that are part of my trilogy (“Macedonian Document”, “Longing for Truth”, “Macedonia, Altar of the Centuries”) dedicated to Macedonia, my homeland. I am happy to have been able to present the magnificent cultural heritage, to hint at the wealth of Macedonia with artifacts that confirm it as a cradle of culture.

The day has come to say goodbye, I hope to meet again soon. We move on, the path that has opened up awaits us.
